DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT
We do not usually require any deposit to hold your booking, and we charge your card on the day of your charter so please bring a credit card with you. We also welcome cash payments, and you will have the option of split billing. We do reserve the right, in certain circumstances, to request a deposit to confirm your booking.
We do require 24 hours notice of any cancellations, and in the event of a no-show or failure to cancel with notice, we would treat your charter as confirmed and would bill the full amount.
Any pre-ordered food/beverages will be ordered by us the night before and will be billed at cost in USD currency equivalent, plus any pick up fee. In the event of any cancellation this portion would be non-refundable.
Please be advised that any refund to your credit card may take 7-14 days for funds to be returned to your card in accordance our merchant bank and your issuing bank’s policies, and any delay in the return of these funds to you will not be the responsibility of charterCAYMAN.
All payments by credit card will require us to take an imprint of the card(s) used for payment. If you made your reservation online and wish to pay with the same card, please ensure that you bring the card with you to the boat on the day of the charter.
TIPS/GRATUITIES
If you booked online, tip/gratuity has not been included in your charter price and has not been added to your bill at the end of the trip. A tip is at your discretion and given as a reflection of the good service of your Captain. Tips are much appreciated! Any tip you choose to pay may be given in cash or added to your credit card bill while on the boat at the end of you charter. If this tip is to be charged to a credit card, you will be requested to complete a manual credit slip for this transaction at the end of your charter.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation requests must be received by email or by telephone 24 hours prior to the date and time of your scheduled charter. Upon receiving your cancellation request, you will receive a confirmation email from charterCAYMAN confirming that your request has been received and is noted. Please note that any pre-paid deposit as well as any pre-paid special order food or drinks items are non-refundable. If your request is received before 24 hours, and in accordance with this cancellation policy we will not have already taken payment for the full charter amount, or pre-ordered any food/beverages.
If your cancellation request is received after the 24 hour time limit for cancellation policy, or you simply do not show up for your scheduled charter without any attempt to reschedule or to make contact with us, we will have already taken payment in advance in full for any pre-ordered food or beverages and unfortunately we will not be able to refund your money. If you are a no-show or have not contacted us to cancel, we will treat your charter as a confirmed booking. Please contact us if you are unsure if you can make your charter time or to reschedule.
charterCAYMAN reserves the right to reschedule or cancel your charter at any time, for any reason. In the event that charterCAYMAN cancels your charter, we will make every effort to reschedule the charter for the next available time. If the charter cannot be rescheduled for any reason on the part of charterCAYMAN, we will provide you with a full refund.
BOAT POLICY
We have two boats: one Tier 1, and one Tier 2 boat. At the time of reservation, depending on our availability, your group size and pricing accepted by you as well as other factors, a boat is assigned to your group. We will do our best to accommodate specific boat requests, however we reserve the right to substitute that boat for another boat, in our discretion and on short notice. In the event that the substituted boat is not equivalent, we will reduce our quoted rate accordingly.
WEATHER POLICY
charterCAYMAN considers the safety of their guests and crew as paramount, and reserves the right to postpone, reschedule or cancel any charter where the Captain, in his sole discretion, deems that the weather will make it unsafe or inadvisable to continue with a charter. In the event that charterCAYMAN cancels your charter, we will do our very best to reschedule it. In the event that we cannot due to continued bad weather throughout the duration of your stay in Cayman, we will refund you any prepaid amount.
charterCAYMAN acknowledges that there are varying degrees of weather, and may agree to continue with a charter where the weather (such as cloud cover or light rain, for example) is not sufficiently severe to warrant cancellation at the Captain’s discretion. In this circumstance you will be given the choice to either continue the charter as scheduled or to reschedule and hope for a better day. If you make the choice to go out and the weather changes while your charter is in progress, you will be billed for the full charter price even if you return to the dock early.
If you have concerns about weather, please contact charterCAYMAN as soon as possible and prior to 24 hours before the charter so that we can work with you to address your concerns or to reschedule as necessary.
